This sweet pepper is used for canning as well as being sold fresh in several colors, such as red, yellow and orange. We began growing it in 2003 in an area of 40 Ha. Today, our annual production reaches the 300 containers.
We farm this pepper in two distinctively different ways. The first one is in an open field, up to a fixed size, in red and yellow hybrids, and done strictly for canning. The second way is using a mesh house, free to grow and sold fresh. This second way is still at a trial stage. Our goal is to have a first grade quality product, suitable for the fresh pepper market in the USA.
Our exports travel from the port of Paita to the USA and Europe, reaching our clients with a product of top quality, and strictly complying with international standards.
